Maintenance Troubleshooting: Power Distribution & Lighting Systems is part two of the Maintenance Troubleshooting five-part training series.

The course identifies power distribution and the associated equipment from the commercial power source to the final equipment or device, and typical problems that may occur in this equipment. The second part of the course introduces students to the design and operation of fluorescent and high intensity discharge (HID) lighting and methods that may be applied in locating and repairing problems with these lighting systems and components.

Course objectives include:

• Locate problems in power distribution and lighting systems involving power quality, overcurrent protective devices, transformers, equipment switches and disconnecting devices, and fluorescent and high intensity discharge lighting.
